A five-day immersive kirtan training at Krishna Village covering vocal basics, introducing kirtan to newcomers, building a kirtan, basic harmonium chords and rhythm using instruments including djembe, cajon, mrdanga and karatals. Participants can practise leading kirtan with the support of other musicians and receive a mantra songbook with chords, with opportunities to make recordings for continued practice at home. The retreat is open to everyone regardless of previous experience or musical ability, and three vegetarian meals per day are included.
